Nostalgia... Grace's Inn is a place I remember as a family friend had helped the owner get started with suggestion to their plates and with that have visited them numerous times since she's such a great cook. It's been years and years since and gotten lost in my thoughts though never far from my heart had finally gotten the opportunity for breakfast since they do open early at 7am was perfect...almost as they currently are closed on Wednesday GAH! hopefully not for long as the hump day is a day I need the energy but did go on another day and was so happy to see how spacious this location is and wished I could've enjoyed and stay to sit causally to enjoy my morning though off to work I go. I ordered the mini breakfast with scrambled eggs and Portuguese sausage and upgraded to fried rice all was nice though the egg was a bit done and looked more like a crepe than scrambled but in general being in a pinch was a great place to grab a bite with lots of parking right beside the restaurant and with lots of breakfast items to choose from that runs til 11am weekdays and 12pm on weekends you don't need to rush over to get your fix. Thank you!

The oh so great homey comfort flavors of the past. Going here always reminds me of my dad.....we used to live down the road and he would always get us graces for pre-dinner french fries snack and/or plate lunches for dinner. The good food is just as I remember it some 25+ years ago. My favorite was always the teriyaki beef and all that teriyaki sauce goodness. That hasn't changed today haha. Their Teri beef is the softer saucy type vs the marinated grilled type. Teri beef on a bed of chow fun, rice, Asian slaw, and Mac salad. Their mac salad is not how I prefer it, haha, but its flavor is one of a kind and still quite enjoyable more-so if I didn't have it in a while, like last night. It's a more tangy Mac salad, like it's hit with a bit of pickle'g. It's been around for years, so it may not be my favorite, so it definitely registers top notch for others if they never changed it haha. All around good food that makes the tummy happy!

Stopped by for breakfast. There was a line but it moved quickly. Ordered the special of Portuguese sausage omelet with fried rice, two eggs with Portuguese sausage and rice and a side of pancake. After a short wait, we sat at the clean tables and consumed our meals. Everything was freshly made and consistent in quality. Condiments are available self serve at the order counter. Iced water is available upon request. There is no in restaurant restrooms. You need to obtain an access code for outdoor restrooms. I've been coming here off and on for years, but most recently came here for mainly the fried rice & breakfast. I really like the taste of this fried rice. It has 2-3 meats with green onions. It seems to be fried in the bacon fat than shoyu/oyster sauce base. I don't know but I really like it! You can buy the delicious fried rice by the scoop or order it in the breakfast plates and pay the upgrade from white rice to fried rice. The lady offered me toast instead of the eggs since I requested for no eggs. The Portuguese sausages were nice big slices and bacon was usually served on the soft side! Sometimes I just get one or two scoops of just the fried rice! Pancakes were fluffy too. Years ago, I always ordered the Oriental chicken salad. It had shredded iceberg lettuce with a lot of shredded chicken on top! I would request for the fried won ton strips on the side than on top so it would still be crunchy. The dressing was the winner! It was really delicious and simple but it was the only type of salad dressing that I am able to finish my salad!!! I must say the chicken katsu seems to be marinated before it was breaded . Chicken seemed to have a tasty ginger taste. My coworker liked their chicken katsu sauce. I used to buy their gift certificates before. It was a book of gift certificates and each one can be redeemed for a selected plates and a drink. A long time worker or manager, told me no more. The new owner also owns the restaurant Chodang. Now I see the new gift certificate has both Grace inn's & Seoul Cook. I couldn't figure it out at first until I learned the Chodang restaurant in Kaka'ako by SALT was now Seoul Cook. Don't know the details but the specials looked similar to the Chodang. If you want to dine in a casual setting with good breakfast, you can come here at Grace's Inn. Ample parking on both side of the restaurant. Located near Times Supermarket and Epi Bakery. Just remember they are closed on Wednesdays.
